Consistent, moderate exercise heightens endurance, increases muscle tone and flexibility, and encourages disease resistance. Since Smoothie Shakedown is designed as a well-rounded diet plan, we always acknowledge the importance of exercise.
Our basic rule is to be physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes but no more than 60 minutes a day. Why the limit of 60 minutes? Increasing evidence suggests that overly strenuous exercise can actually be harmful. During the Shakedown your body is undergoing intensive cleansing and is working with a restricted caloric intake. We have found that most Shakedowners are not able to sustain an intense workout regimen while undergoing this process.
The good news is, moderate exercise is totally encouraged, so here are a few ideas to get your blood pumping while keeping your body in optimum fat burning mode.
